• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• All our drivers are required to hold a valid C+ E driving entitlement. enabling them to drive a vehicle weighing over 3.5T (3,500kg), accompanied by a trailer weighing over 750kg. 

• Previous experience of driving a fully articulated lorry and drawbar combination. 

• Both short-haul and long-haul journeys throughout the UK. 

• Drivers may be away from home 'tramping' Monday to Friday. 

• Ensuring vehicle maintenance is in order ( daily walk arounds).

• Liaising with customers. 

• Supervising or assisting with the loading and unloading of goods.

• Ensuring loads are safely secured. 

• completing relevant paperwork.

As within any haulage company, hours may vary week to week. However, we always ensure EU Drivers hours and working time rules are complied with. 

Maximum weekly driving:

• 56 hrs in a week 

• 90 hrs in any two consecutive weeks.

Maximum daily driving:

• 9 hrs driving per day 

• Extended to 10 hrs 2x per week 

Breaks:

• 45 minutes after any period of 4 hrs 30 min continuous driving.

• 15 minutes duty break every 6 hrs.

Rest: 

• 11hrs daily rest 

• A reduced rest of 9hrs can be taken 3x per week. 

Weekly Rest: 

• An unbroken rest period of 45 hrs.

• A reduced break of 12 hrs may be taken every two weeks(fortnight). 

• When a reduced break is taken, the hours must be repaid by the end of week 3.
