Professionally competent team

Our consultants all hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and have a vast knowledge of the industry.

Friendly support

Our team is here to ensure everything runs smoothly,  so you can focus elsewhere.

All our customers are treated with transparency and respect.

Long term success

Once we have ensured the company is running efficiently and compliantly our team will develop a bespoke plan before stepping back. This may include training an internal member of staff or bringing in an external manager to monitor the company going forward. Our team will continue to perform periodic audits where required, to ensure the long term success of the company.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

Are you are thinking of entering the transport industry and unsure of the steps to take?

Or... maybe you have already established a transport company but require an external pair of eyes to review company policies and procedures.

Many people underestimate the vast amount of laws and regulations that we must comply with when operating within the transport sector.

The sheer number of things operators must consider can be overwhelming. From Vehicle Inspections, OCR Scores, Driver’s hours, to auditing, budgeting, and debt factoring.

OUR CONSULTANCY TEAM CAN HELP WITH BESPOKE SOLUTIONS TO YOUR TRANSPORT COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS.

Our professional and approachable team help multiple operators across the nation to ensure compliance, profitability, and consistency throughout their transport operations by improving policies and procedures, and ensuring they stay on the right side of the DVSA/VOSA. This has the effect of lowering OCR Scores, improving credibility, and reducing DVSA Visits. All our team members hold a Certificate of Professional competence and draw on each other’s knowledge and experience within the transport sector.

Our team will build and develop a successful internal management team, before handing over control to them.

Our hands on approach has helped a number of clients resolve their problems from applying for operator's licence to getting through Traffic Commissioner's public inquiries.

Our team members also provide operators with an external transport manager service on a remote basis, for those in need of a professionally competent person to oversee operations. Placement of an external Transport Manager may be  long term as a nominated Transport Manager, or short term to assist whilst finding an appropriate candidate.

Past case studies

Customer A

Approached our team through a mutual acquaintance. The customer was in the process of buying themselves out of a franchise for van work and were looking to set up to run larger vehicles – they had develped a business plan but didn’t have staff with the required qualifications. A member of our team was brought in as a consultant transport manager/O licence holder 9 years ago to support their existing team and set up the O licence and required management systems from scratch in a relationship that carries on to this day. During our time with them we have supported their business through almost constant evolution and growth (we’re now at 29 vehicles on the O licence from an initial 4!), actively working to reduce their costs and increase efficiency whilst maintaining a compliant operation. As always there have been challenges along the way but both the customer and our team are really proud of what we have built. As an added value service we offer holiday cover to ensure their operation continues in a compliant manner even when their employee who looks after the day to day transport administration requirements is on annual leave.

Customer B

Similar to customer A, customer B was looking to modify their operation and, in this case, move from a restricted licence to a standard national to enable them to move other people’s goods in order to compliment the routes that they had moving their own. Reporting directly to the MD we set up the O licence and the required systems. We continue to montitor the company, as their O licence holder. We are now assisting with working towards FORS Gold and working on monitoring/reporting of their carbon footprint. Future plans include providing or training an additional member of staff to assist with planning & reduce the workload on the MD.

Customer C

Had numerous issues around vehicle maintenance and the general management of their transport operation stretching back 10 years. They approached us to get them on the right track after their 5th transport manager in 4 years resigned following notification of a public inquiry from DVSA. Our team worked with the Operator to tighten up company policies and procedures,  redesign management systems, demonstrating that they could run a compliant operation. Our teams input allowed customer C to demonstrate at the public inquiry that significant changes had taken place within the company and their compliance proceedures, this resulted in the O licence being curtailed (margin removed), rather than revoked.

Since then our team has assisted with the recruitment process for a transport manager ,who we work alongside to ensure everything is running smoothly and compliantly.

Customer D

Contacted our team after issues at a roadside check were made apparent. Our team was asked to spend some time  tightening up company systems, ensuring everything was in line before the inevitable DVSA visit

Customer E

Customer E had been running a transport operation for years. They reqired an external pair of eyes to review company policies and procedures to clarify that they were oporating in a safe and complaint manner.

We now attend their site on a bi-annual basis to audit their records and support their full time transport manager.
